Public Affairs Office Content Creator and Manager
Fort Knox, KY
Full-Time


SUMMARY: The Public Affairs Office Content Creator will advise and assist the Public Affairs Office (PAO) with the implementation of the USACC PAO content creation and management of information contained on the various USACC PAO controlled external websites and internal SharePoint site. This content supports the commander's communication objectives nested in the command's annual communication plans.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct research and analysis and analysis, recommendation, and assistance of the
implementation of various USACC PAO controlled external websites and internal
SharePoint site objective and goals.
• Support establishment of PAO enterprises best practices, development of organizational
information flows, and communication efforts.
• Create content in support of PAO websites and SharePoint sites.
• Provide a monthly status report on all projects currently being worked/assigned.
• Serve as a component within the PAO that develops supporting capabilities for the
Command's Public Affairs Program initiatives.
• Manage various USACC PAO controlled external websites and internal SharePoint site
management, content management, and solutions integration that improve and / or
enhance information and communication to the public.
• Update various webpages with timely, accurate information cleared for public release.
• ICW the KMO webmaster, develop structures or architecture for various websites.
• Assist KMO with the design of dynamic and static web content.
• Collects, maintains, and processes data.
• Review forms and reports, confers with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and identify problems and improvements.
• Analyze and review a wide variety of plans and related operations, recommend and
publish publicly released information approved by a public affairs officer who has release authority.
• Assist in the preparation of website analytics and make recommendations on design and content to improve the command's external and internal communication efforts.
• Assist in the conduct of planning, progress reviews, and working meetings.
• Identify sources of relevant information and data.
• Assist PAO personnel with developing identifying insights and actionable public
information requirements nested with the commander's communication priorities and the command's communication plan.
• Alerts key personnel of operational problems and suggest potential solutions or methods for disseminating public information.
• Attend PAO planning efforts that support command's communication efforts.
• Research, develop, and publish articles.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in Multi-media or Digital media (preferred), Communications, or
Journalism.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital media content creation.
• Prior expertise supporting public affairs public information requirements.
• Desired past military experience.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• Extensive knowledge of web content management systems and web content creation
• Knowledge of federal law, DOD instructions and Army regulations concerning PAO
activities
• Proficient on WordPress
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud software: photoshop, Lightroom, premier, in-design,
audition, illustrator
• Proficient in digital camera operations
• Proficient writing in Associated Press (AP) style
• Experience in customizing and maintaining SharePoint page information Ability to
acquire, process, and publish digital photography
• Ability to write and publish photo captions
• Ability to acquire, process, and publish digital video
• Ability to plan, create, produce pictures, drawings, and graphics materials using computer graphics software packages or other mediums that support the Command's
communication priorities
