The Alexa Experiences & Services team is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to work on Identity and Personalization Experiences as well as other exciting Alexa projects. The Alexa Personalization designer will support the Alexa Customer Journeys team to create features and frameworks that help customers experience personalized assistance and access content they love.

This Senior UX Designer will work on brand new Alexa features and will re-design existing features. You will create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet unique customer needs. You will work closely with other designers, researchers, product management, engineering, data science and operational teams to successfully go from early stage product concepts to iterations and launches of new features.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Create world-class, user-centered designs through consideration of customer research, business requirements, technical considerations, and usability study findings. These experiences will bridge voice, multimodal, web, and mobile applications.
  2. Collaborate directly with Conversation Designers and the Research team to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points.
  3. Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements.
  4. Collaborate directly with Software Engineers to bring the resulting designs and vision to market.
  5. Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
  6. Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications.
  7. Present design work to the design team, product team, and leadership for review and feedback.

Basic Qualifications

  1. 8+ years of design experience.
  2. Have an available online portfolio.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with UX design of complex workflows.
  2. Experience with Figma, Sketch, or their functional equivalents.
