JOB DESCRIPTION: ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

Reports to: Executive Producer

Job Type:Full-time Salaried Exempt position (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:

• Create, produce and edit spots for Community Partners and Underwriting clients
• Work with Production staff to assemble-edit local WEDU programs
• Write short form scripts
• Build graphics
• Uphold excellent grammar, spelling and attention to detail in all content produced
• Ensure PBS and Underwriting editorial standards are met
• Schedule internal and Community Partnership voiceover sessions and shoots
• Coordinate with Content, Traffic and Underwriting departments to develop and deliver projects to required specifications
• Maintain accurate records and files for all projects
• Support Production team with creation of high-quality content as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field such as film, media, or communications, or 2 years work experience in similar role
• Hands-on experience in video production, including producing, writing and editing
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in Premiere, Aftereffects and Photoshop
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Flexible and collaborative work ethic
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
