Responsibilities:
- Write, produce, showcase and deliver compelling news stories for on-air and digital platforms.
- Have strong curiosity for the issues that affect viewers in El Paso & Las Cruces
- Conduct thorough research to gather accurate information for news stories.
- Collaborate with the news team to develop innovative story ideas and coverage plans.
- Utilize social media platforms to engage with the audience and promote news content.
- Adhere to strict journalistic standards, ethics, and guidelines in all reporting endeavors.
- Stay updated on current events, trends, and developments to ensure comprehensive news coverage.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro) and multimedia production tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AP style, news writing principles, and storytelling techniques.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
- Must pass a background check, MVR check, drug screening and possess a valid driver license.
