POSITION SUMMARY The Indianapolis Colts are seeking a full-time Digital Marketing & Media Intern with a strong interest in digital marketing and emerging media trends. The role will support the Director of Digital Marketing and Director of Digital Media in managing the organization's website, mobile app, email campaigns, and digital advertising efforts to drive fan engagement, data acquisition, and lead generation. Additional responsibilities include monitoring partnership activations, coordinating digital content, and reporting on digital KPIs across club-owned platforms. This position also collaborates with internal teams including Analytics, Marketing, Content, Ticketing, and Sponsorship.

HIRING MANAGERDirector of Digital Marketing, Director of Digital Media

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in the strategy, design, and development of key web properties for the organization
  • Collaborate with the Digital Media team to develop, publish, and promote content across owned platforms
  • Maintain web, email, and mobile app properties, including managing ads, landing pages, email content, and push notifications
  • Produce and distribute analytics reports for internal teams and corporate partners
  • Be on-call for breaking news and other urgent needs; support gameday content creation, traffic monitoring, and partnership activation
  • Analyze customer, ticketing, and third-party data to optimize digital marketing campaigns
  • Help create automated marketing campaigns and digital activations to drive fan engagement, lead generation, and retention
  • Build target audience lists and assist with data analysis for customer profiling and segmentation
  • Assist with advertising copywriting for email, digital media, radio, and broadcast
  • Support the maintenance of the master digital marketing calendar
  • Research and report on emerging trends and technologies


QUALIFICATIONS Required:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Experience or strong interest in digital marketing, digital media, advertising, marketing analytics, or related fields
  • Familiarity with paid social, SEO, and programmatic advertising platforms, and campaign planning
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products (e.g., Photoshop)
  • Ability to adapt, multitask, and meet evolving business needs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with management and cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and results-driven skills
  • Based within commuting distance of Indianapolis
  • Able to attend all Colts home games, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to work remotely during away games
  • College degree or relevant work experience required
  • Legally authorized to work full-time in the U.S. for the internship duration
Bonus:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Basic knowledge of coding/querying languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, SQL)
