Job Summary:

The Social Media and Communications Specialist will aid in establishing and will implement a social media strategy that drives engagement and strengthens our brand identity. This role includes creating and publishing high-quality content, acting as the voice of our company, and ensuring consistency across social media platforms, blogs, and email campaigns. The ideal candidate will help us grow our followers, increase website traffic, and convert traffic into loyal customers all while adhering to our brand guidelines and maintaining a strong, positive online presence.

Responsibilities:
  • Social Media Strategy
    • Assist in development of, and responsible for execution of a cohesive social media strategy that aligns with company goals.
    • Act as the voice of our brand to establish and maintain a strong, consistent online presence.
  • Content Creation and Management
    • Create, copyedit, and publish engaging content across social media platforms, blogs, and email newsletters.
    • Curate and manage user-generated content to strengthen brand engagement.
    • Monitor social media channels and engage with followers by responding to comments and inquiries.
  • Customer Engagement and Support
    • Address and resolve customer questions, complaints, or negative reviews posted on social media.
    • Foster positive relationships with our audience and build a loyal community
  • Data Analysis and Optimization
    • Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics to measure the success of campaigns.
    • Use insights to adjust strategies and improve audience engagement, demographic targeting, and content effectiveness.
  • Cross-Platform Consistency
    • Ensure brand consistency across all social media platforms, blogs, and newsletters, maintaining a unified and professional tone.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or communications preferred (internship or freelance work accepted).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn on the job and invest in skill development.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok, and basic knowledge of email marketing platforms (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp).
  • Ability to analyze data and translate metrics into actionable insights.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content ideas and execute them effectively.
  • Comfort with design tools (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Midjourney).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and social media best practices is a plus.

Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience, within the range of $45,000 - $55,000 annually. Specific placement within this range depends on qualifications, years of experience, and role expectations.
