A Hybrid working model
Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. What does a Graphic Production Lead do at Hogarth?
We are looking for a Graphic Production Lead to oversee teams of production artists responsible for web graphic creation for product launches and updates. The ideal candidate will have project management skills, along with graphic design experience, Photoshop expertise, web or HTML email production experience, organizational and leadership skill, and an eye for detail.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate the workloads of graphic production artists, ensuring they have all the information they need, and all project work meets Hogarth's and the client's quality standards
- Communicate with other Team Leads to ensure optimum use of resources
- Work closely with producers, traffic, design, development, content management, and international teams to deliver on project goals and timelines, and ensure efficient file handoffs for localization
- Structure Photoshop comps to optimize efficient production and localization workflows using slices, smart objects, and layer comps
- Maintain version control system and manage team QC process
- Review final deliverables with an exacting eye, ensuring that layout, images, text, and links are flawless
- Identify and help implement opportunities for process, automation, design, file format, and technical improvements
- Responsible for writing, updating and delivering training materials for existing and flex resource
- Maintain a work environment that attracts, retains, and motivates the highest calibre of skilled Graphic Production professionals
Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in a hands-on, high-volume interactive web production environment (or equivalent)
- Proven track record of effectively partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to build and deliver creative tech experiences to be used in animations and webpages
- Deep understanding of web-production workflow, best practices as it relates to design, dev, QA, GEO localization and transcreation
- Experience in a management or leadership role for web or graphic design
- Strong project management, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
- Ability to handle multiple projects within tight deadlines, effectively problem-solve, and manage expectations accordingly
- Able to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate to ensure project goals are met and ensure efficient handoffs carried out
- Ability to develop and optimize workflows, as well as establish and enforce cross-functional frameworks and standards
- Photoshop expertise, including creating files for web production with strict adhesion graphic design standards
- Excellent design, typography and art-working sensibilities applicable to interactive web pages, HTML emails, and banners
- Solid standards-based HTML, CSS, asset optimization, Sketch, GiT and general web publishing knowledge
- Experience in UI/UX design and a firm understanding of 3D practices
- Familiarity with CMS, image and eDAM
- Thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment; works well under pressure
- Resourceful, adaptable, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
