Position: Assistant Technical Director Contract: Seasonal (April 21st-August 29th) Department: Event Production Role Overview: Reporting to the Technical Director the Assistant Technical Director is an hourly position that will be a part of the team responsible for the management of events and their production elements for the Summer for the City 2025 summer festival. This work will take place in the public areas including Damrosch Park, Josie Robertson Plaza, Hearst Plaza, Jaffe Drive. What you'll get to do here: Plan, oversee, and manage festival operations from construction through performances Implement safety practices specific to outdoors including training and weather action plans Facilitate artist technical needs Supervise on-site technical, union, and non-union staff Onsite management from the months of April 2025 through August 2025 Ensure compliance with Lincoln Center's policies and safety standards Cover the various working hours for the operation of the festival, including nights and weekends You'll be a fit if you bring: 2-4 years of verifiable, professional technical and venue experience Experience with temporary staging and event structures (large scale tents, truss and scaffold stages, custom large-scale installations) Proficiency in rigging, carpentry, and theatrical systems Strong organizational skills, time management, and archival capabilities The ability to demonstrate resilience and professionalism during high profile events, with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure An understanding of production equipment and artist technical requirements including ability to read stage plots and drawings An organized approach and can communicate well both in person and across various digital platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite An interest in working with a diverse variety of arts disciplines, including music, dance, theater, and spoken word You'll be a competitive candidate if you have: Experience working within an outdoor festival environment Experience with temporary outdoor power Familiarity with backline and live music performance Experience managing union labor Heavy equipment certifications (forklift, telehandler, scissor lift, aerial boom) OSHA 30 certification What is Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts?
