Summary:
This position is located in Arlington, Virginia. The Graphic Designer/Analyst will play a key role in supporting OCPA’s communication objectives by creating compelling visual content and analyzing data to inform strategic decisions. This position requires a unique blend of creative and analytical skills, with a strong understanding of design principles, data visualization, and communication strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design & Development:
- Design and develop high-quality visual content, including infographics, presentations, social media graphics, brochures, and other marketing materials.
- Utilize strong typography, color theory, and layout principles to create visually appealing and impactful designs.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual materials.
- Develop and maintain graphic standards and style guides.
- Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Analyze data from various sources (e.g., social media, website analytics, surveys) to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Develop data visualizations (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards) to effectively communicate complex information to different audiences.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with writers, editors, and other stakeholders to ensure that visual content aligns with communication objectives.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and obtain approvals.
- Provide design guidance and support to other team members.
- Stay abreast of current design trends and technologies.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 years of demonstrated strategic/tactical/media communication level experience within the last 10 years.
- Skills:
- Design: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is essential.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience working with the Department of Defense or other government agencies.
- Knowledge of military operations and culture.
- Experience with motion graphics and video editing.
- Experience with web design and development.
