We are looking for a Sr. UX Designer to envision and executes designs for AI-assisted shopping experiences on our client’s retail application, with a focus on LLM-powered conversational CXs. They design intuitive and delightful ways for the customers to discover, compare, purchase, and keep track of products from the catalog. This role requires the flexibility to deliver both near-term solutions and future-facing design direction for CXs with little precedent, and the logical reasoning skills to grasp the complexities of natural language understanding, machine learning, and large language models.
\nThis senior-level individual contributor leads cross-functional partners through a customer-obsessed design process that balances quantitative data, qualitative customer insights, business objectives, and technical considerations. They work closely with product management, science, and engineering, while coordinating with design stakeholders. They can operate with significant autonomy, independently delivering designs for both new features and iterative improvements, exercising sound judgement about consulting with and informing the right stakeholders and leaders.
\nYou will join a team of passionate of GUI and VUI designers who are customer obsessed and actively think big around improving the core shopping and conversational experiences. We come together each week to align on priorities, learnings, and discuss new opportunities to help drive us forward. We create space for innovation through crit’s and design studio sessions, collaborating with partners to push boundaries and explore bold ideas. We dive deep into research activities connecting the dots that help us build compelling experiences that are both efficient and engaging. We consistently contribute to each other’s work to make it better, we collaborate with product managers and software developers to define, design, and deliver near-term and long-term product improvements that enable and inspire marketers to build engaging campaigns and customer experiences.
\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS
\n- \n
- 8+ years of UX designer or interaction designer experience \n
- Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices \n
- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, (STRONGLY PREFER FIGMA) Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax \n
- Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), a related field. \n
\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows \n
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques \n
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design \n
- Self-motivated team player, with refined and assertive leadership skills \n

- Delivers solutions for complex design and technical problems for which the product strategy may not be defined. \n
- Refines and define design patterns, standards, methods, and/or processes, helping to drive adoption of these across teams. They share this knowledge effectively with peers and stakeholders to drive cross-team alignment. \n
- Makes recommendations to partner teams and senior leaders on org goals and design strategy. \n
- Provides solutions that demonstrate knowledge of the capabilities and constraints of the technology stack; their solutions demonstrate high-judgement trade-off decisions. \n
- Aligns with partner teams to identify and aggregate disparate qualitative and quantitative data to inform design solutions at the product level. \n
- Are able to find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path (build consensus) or escalates appropriately, when confronted with discordant views. \n
- Contributes to the professional development of colleagues, improving their design skills. \n
\nDay to Day:

- Interacting with 6 other Ux and voice designers on the team \n
- Partnering with engineering and other teams to complete designs \n
- Participating in meetings \n
- Building designs and presenting those to leadership and teams \n
\nThe target hiring compensation range for this role is $54.07 to $60.08 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
