You will be responsible for setting the direction and architecture of new and innovative on-device and cloud-based media management features for the creative space. You will work with human interface designers, quality assurance teams, and cross-functional engineering teams to go beyond code and influence everything from user interfaces to project planning.
Description The Creativity Apps team is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with on-device and cloud-based media management technologies. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust cloud syncing, media management, efficient on-device storage, and collaboration solutions to enhance our products and services.
Minimum Qualifications 5+ years proven experience writing and shipping reliable, scalable, maintainable, and testable code
Experience with Apple platforms including iOS and macOS
Proficient in Swift, Objective-C, C++, or C
Experience as a technical lead; demonstrating strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven expertise and deep understanding of cloud syncing, media management, and collaboration technologies
Solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and object-oriented design
Ability to write performant, scalable, maintainable, and correct multi-threaded code
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to ask for help, learn from others, and mentor others in turn
Committed to encouraging an open and inclusive work environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience building APIs or frameworks
Experience with CloudKit
Experience working with media encoding and playback
Background in relational databases (SQLite, PostgreSQL, SQL, Core Data, etc.)
Performance tuning optimizing memory, scheduling, IO, networking protocols or databases
