Community Manager Pathology Full Time 81944BR Job Summary The Parnassus Community Manager (CM) would serve as a nexus, offering a structured avenue for building and connecting thriving communities, enhancing our collaborative infrastructure, and ultimately creating a cohesive "Community of Communities". By establishing this position, along with a dedicated Community Fund to support new efforts and sustain existing programs, we can ensure the continuation and growth of our collaborative activities, fostering a stronger, more interconnected campus culture. The Parnassus CM will be instrumental in orchestrating a transformative shift towards a more integrated and sustainable collaborative environment at Parnassus. This individual will craft and execute a vision that not only aligns with but also propels the growth of a unified research community at all levels from trainees to faculty leaders. They will be responsible for coordinating and managing campus-wide events and initiatives, facilitating cross-disciplinary interactions and community engagement. The Parnassus CM will champion DEI efforts, collaborating closely with various groups and initiatives to weave a fabric of inclusivity and respect throughout our research programs and across campus. This advocacy will be crucial in shaping a welcoming and equitable academic and research environment. As a central node connecting diverse research communities, the Parnassus CM will enhance communication and collaboration across different disciplines, ensuring that these interactions are not left to chance but are actively cultivated to foster a dynamic exchange of ideas and resources. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $67,600 - $120,200 (Annual Rate). By restructuring traditional research, we create opportunities for cross-fertilization of ideas, discoveries, and insights. The Department of Pathology at UCSF aims to achieve the highest standards in patient care, research and education. The Department provides diagnostic pathology services in a wide variety of subspecialties with highly trained subspecialists who are recognized nationally and internationally for their expertise. The Department's research programs are diverse and interface with a wealth of basic and translational research programs that are a hallmark of UCSF. Our educational programs include a research-intensive academic residency program and fellowships in cytopathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal and liver pathology, gynecologic pathology, neuropathology and surgical pathology. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. Minimum 3+ years of related experience. Advanced knowledge relevant policies and regulatory requirements. Advanced knowledge of a health professions education program curriculum and requirements. Maintains a broad range of expertise in health professions education theory and industry best practices. Advanced knowledge of administrative analysis and operations research. Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills to develop and implement complex processes and systems improving program quality and efficiency and reducing cost. Excellent communicator; includes verbal and written, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills. Ability to handle sensitive personal information with appropriate discretion and judgment. Advanced interpersonal skills. Skills to work collaboratively coordinate and integrate with others throughout the organization. Successful experience working with people with a wide range of backgrounds and skills. Advanced organizational and project management skills. Ability to lead a team, prioritize personal and team tasks and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule. Advanced personal organization skills and ability to apply to administration of the entire program including organizing critical files for compliance. In-depth knowledge of educational software and technologies to promote a wide-range of teaching and learning goals. In-depth knowledge of data management, documentation methods used in investigating and presenting findings about the program. Proficiency with MS Office. Preferred Qualifications Basic understanding of the principles, guidelines and policies associated with Graduate Medical Education including ACGME program knowledge.
