Location: Angelo State University

+ We are hiring immediately for a MARKETING SPECIALIST position.

+ Location: 1910 Rosemont Drive. San Angelo, TX 76909. Note: online applications accepted only.

+ Schedule: Full time; Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm; weekends on special events.

+ Details: Angelo Dining is an innovative, fast-growing university food service industry that needs a marketing specialist to help with social media, website, events, client relations, and more! We have 5,000+ students enrolled with 1,800 on a meal plan. We oversee 11 retail dining operations including Subway, Starbucks, Einstein's, Chick-fil-A, and more as well as 1 residential dining hall; all you care to eat with different food stations.

+ The marketing specialist is responsible for client interaction, manages social media and digital content, monthly client newsletters, planning special events with the chef, community, etc., working off the monthly marketing calendar sent from Chartwell's corporate, some tabling to drive voluntary meal plans, community communication related to changes/hours of operations, drive on campus partnerships with on-campus clubs/student associations, educate on health and wellness, and other duties as assigned.

+ Requirement: Marketing/food service experience preferred; willing to train!

+ Reports to: General Manager with a dotted line to Regional Marketing Director

Job Summary

Summary: As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the operation with marketing, merchandising, and promotions to ensure superior service and maximize profits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Assists in all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.

+ Analyzes customer/resident research, current market conditions and competitor information.

+ Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts.

+ Expands and develops marketing platforms.

+ Manages the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.

+ Monitors, reviews and reports on all marketing activity and results.

+ Delivers marketing activity within agreed budget.

+ Reports on return on investment and key performance metrics.

+ Creates marketing presentations.

+ Monitors industry best practices and trends.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ 1 year of marketing experience.

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Ability to present to large groups.

+ Knowledge of merchandising and promotions.

+ Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

+ Bachelors Degree in Marketing is preferred.
