We are looking for an exceptional person to join our North America team as a Senior Director, Public Relations.

Senior Directors report into a VP or SVP to plan and drive measurable campaigns campaigns, that generate real business outcomes for clients and own client relationships with minimal involvement from the senior team. Senior Directors fully understand what delivers results and what integrated communications strategies are imperative for your clients, developing campaigns that use the most effective approaches. As a manager to one or more direct reports, Senior Directors are responsible for their team's development, performance and wellbeing, and as an account leader support the development of the wider Hotwire team. Senior Directors take a leading role in new business activities and work to strengthen the skills needed to build their own client portfolio. Senior Directors are their VP or SVP's go-to person, stepping in when they are absent and working closely together to lead the team. Senior Directors run and grow established portfolios and work towards becoming recognized for expertise in either a practice area, PR, communications discipline or both.

Daily, you will:

  • Own client relationships and manage accounts spanning all B2B technology sectors (Emerging Tech, FinTech, Industrial Tech, Enterprise Tech, Marketing & e-Commerce)
  • Experience with Financial and Corporate Communication
  • Deliver excellent client service across a group of client accounts
  • Demonstrate account and team leadership of the highest standards
  • Contribute to the success of the agency by contributing to business development and product development
  • Retain and promote top performing direct reports
  • Ensure direct reports meet utilization targets
  • Drive the new business development effort (manage a lead from start to finish) and win new accounts as needed to maintain oversight of account revenue
  • Prepare and present a professional development course to staff twice yearly to grow new and traditional communications skills
  • Display proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
You'll Bring:
  • A minimum of 7-10 years' experience, most recently as as an agency Senior Account Manager, Director or in-house communications PR Director
  • Deep experience in B2B technology industries such as enterprise, consumer, cybersecurity, fintech, software & services, IT & infrastructure, digital commerce, etc.
  • A positive, authentic, solution-oriented team player with a good sense of humor
  • Hands-on experience managing and mentoring direct reports and cross-functional teammates
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • A love for storytelling and media strategy and relations with large global brands
  • Experience supporting corporate communications programs that include working with C-suite executives (including CEO) on external communications including building and making recommendations external communications programs for executives
  • Experiences with financial comms and earnings announcements with publicly traded companies
  • An obsession with continuous improvement
  • Curiosity about how the business works how you contribute to the organizations success
  • A drive to produce excellent work
  • Pragmatic and goal oriented mindsets
  • Strong written and presentation communication skills, with the comfort to present ideas and make a case to clients and partner agencies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word

Compensation Range: $115K-$166K, depending on level of experience

The range listed is just one component of Hotwire's total compensation package for employees, which includes bonus opportunities and a variety of benefits mentioned above. Hotwire takes into consideration a candidate's education, training, and experience, as well as the position's work location, expected work to be performed, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
