Responsibilities:
- Established and productive individual contributor.
- Understands engineering design of 2-3 projects and can translate that design to identify and redline technical order impacts.
- Works independently with general supervision.
- Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
- May influence others technical staff through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
- Works independently on larger, moderately complex projects/systems.
- Sets objectives for own job area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.
- Works to achieve operational objectives within job area which has direct impact on the overall achievement of results for the department and for 2-3 projects.
- Responsible for adjusting or recommended enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area.
- Addresses simple to complex technical issues/problems that require a depth of technical job knowledge from other areas.
- Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
- Communicate with contacts typically within the technical writing department and the SCN engineering department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to reach agreement.
- Work alongside the SCN engineering, CM/DM, and logistics teams to drive TO changes that reflect design of 2-3 projects.
- May provide guidance, assistance, analysis, and training to entry level professionals, support employees and external departments.
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing or technical field or equivalent on-the-job documentation experience.
- 3-5 years technical or procedural writing experience
- Willingness to learn.
- Initiative to expand technical and soft skills
- Knowledge of Air Force technical orders.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skill
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Experience with Air Force Technical Orders.
- Familiarity of the Satellite Control Network (SCN).
- How to read, interpret, decipher, and understand engineering drawings and design.
- Working knowledge of TM-86-01, TO-00-5-1, TO-005-3, and MIL-STD 38784.
- Experience with Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), XML, and Arbortext editor.

Pay Range:
This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits provided for this position will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts detailed in the wage determination issued by the Department of Labor and made applicable to this position, as incorporated into CACI's government contract for the work location.
Minimum Required Hourly Wage:
$30.64
