Allen & Gerritsen,Inc is hiring: Intern, Public Relations in Boston

We are always seeking impressive rising college juniors, seniors and recent grads to join our PR agency team for paid semester-long and summer internships in our Philadelphia and Boston Third Spaces. A&G interns are integral to a collaborative public relations, creator relations and social media practice within a top independent, full-service advertising agency. The practice leads work across a range of categories and specialties, including B2B, consumer and social impact-driven organizations, and interns may be asked to work across multiple divisions and will have the chance to work with an incredible team of integrated PR pros eager to show you the ropes. As an A&G intern, you’ll do real work that helps you develop key foundational skills essential to your developing career in the industry.

Internships run year-round, but we’re currently seeking an intern based in Boston for fall/winter 2024.

We'll ask you to support the following tasks:

• Support the PR team on an array of account activities, including monitoring and reporting, research and client service

• Actively engage in media relations, social media and creator relations efforts

• Work with the broader PR team to brainstorm, develop and implement campaign strategies and tactics

We want to hear from you if:

• You’re studying PR or a related field and want to pursue a professional PR career

• You relish the ability to pivot between various clients, industries and tasks. You embrace the idea that “variety is the spice of professional life,” and you’re eager to build a strong foundation of skills cross-industry

• You love to write and you’re able to adapt to a variety of different voices and styles

• Bonus points if some of your best writing has been in 280 characters or less

• You’re self-motivated but also very eager to learn from a close-knit team

• You love to consume the news and stay up-to-date with current trends

• You’re always curious to learn more and view challenges as opportunities to build upon your skills and broaden your expertise

• You’re a social media whiz and follow it ferociously, both personally and professionally

• You have impeccable attention to detail and value organization

• You have working knowledge of PR and social media tools and bonus if you’ve used platforms like Muck Rack, Critical Mention and Sprout Social
