Design Manager - Health Cupertino,California,United States Design Apple’s Health team is looking for an experienced design leader that will work alongside clinical experts and extraordinary technologists to help people understand their health. Description The Design Manager will be focused on creating content that supports and enhances the features and services Apple offers in the health space. This means executing and ensuring consistency of the look and feel, overseeing design work, and commissioning illustration. A successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with a consistent track record of planning and executing within a highly collaborative team. - Strong command of visual and communication design principles - Manage a team of designers to coordinate assignments and assure consistency and excellence - Collaborate with the greater content team in the development and execution of stories; and additionally work closely with engineers, clinicians and data scientists to understand needs, constraints and goals - Output will include graphics, multi-media layouts and article design - Iterate and critique your own work and the work of others on the team to ensure the best solutions for a given problem - Commissioning and art directing still photography, assigning illustration - Sourcing stock photography and illustration - Work within a schedule to deliver high quality work on time - Proficient at extending existing design patterns across new ideas and platforms - Work enthusiastically with a highly collaborative design team in an iterative design process, inspired by group critique Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree 8+ years experience crafting extraordinary user interface designs for iOS, desktop or web platforms Proficient in Sketch, Abode Design Suite, Keynote, After Effects, Illustrator and other design tools Strong communication skills with a penchant for working closely with other teams including video, data, designers, category experts, engineering and program management Established network of designers, illustrators and photographers and photo production teams Can oversee the workflow for many projects at once Has a passion for Apple, its products, and its customers Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Experience with health apps/programs/data is not necessary but valuable; passion for health is a must Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project and a team without close supervision Budget management and creative thinking around spending Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project Education & Experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
