Position Summary:
The Engineering Technical Writer provides expertise supporting topical research and authoring or coauthoring papers, diagrams, and studies.Additionally, they provide formatting and sound grammatical application to engineering documentation.

This position primarily works standard business hours M-F, 7 am-4 pm.

Position Summary:
The Engineering Technical Writer provides expertise supporting topical research and authoring or coauthoring papers, diagrams, and studies.Additionally, they provide formatting and sound grammatical application to engineering documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with government service owners on the AF BlueSCI Enterprise, project managers, and engineering team members to contribute formal documentation.
- Research background and support information pertinent to project solutions.
- Write technical materials such as processes, specifications, instructions, and policies as pertain to the AF BlueSCI Enterprise strategic plan.
- Ensure all documentation is delivered according to the governing standards for grammar, spelling, notations, and completeness in the AF Tongue & Quill format manual.
- High School Diploma with 3 - 6 years (or commensurate experience).
- Must possess DOD Top Secret clearance w/ SCI Eligibility on day one.
- Demonstrated experience authoring and updating technical and process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Orders (TOs), process guides, etc.
- Self-starter. Must be able to aid supported teammates in understanding how to employ the technical writer's expertise.
- Experience as part of an information technology-related team is desired.
- Confidence with public speaking/presenting to an audience.
- Experience working in a Program Management Office, Communications Units, or Operations Center.
- ITIL 3 or later
