Able Manufacturing and Assembly is presently seeking a mechanical SolidWorks designer. This individual will be part of the engineering department and work closely with Customer Service and Production to design metal and composite components. Responsibilities will include producing detailed models, assemblies and production drawings for new and existing products

- Maintain Updated Fabrication Documentation

- Technical Documentation Content
- Maintain/Update CAD Library
- Expert in Solidworks creating parts, assemblies, design tables and drawings.
- Prefer 5+ years experience with advanced Solidworks and manufacturing.
- Proficient in AutoCAD creating 2D drawings.
- Mechanical background, preferably in metal fabrication with Punches, Lasers and Press Brakes
- Experienced in sheet metal design
- Detail oriented, organized with the ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.
- Ability to communicate with sales, engineers, and outside customers.
- Familiar with engineering process, revisions, ECR, change orders, etc.
- Proficient with MS Office.
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with company standards and/or specifications.
- Directing objectives to maximize profitability.
- Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output.
- Personally accountable for preventing injury and illness to self and for protecting Company assets.
- Acceptance of this full safety responsibility, personal alertness and following plant safety rules is mandatory.
- Every injury sustained or even suspected while on the job must be reported immediately to your direct supervisor.
- Be familiar with all chemicals used in your assigned area and understand any injury or health problem potential inherent in the use or handling of such chemicals.
- Know the location, use and purpose of all safety equipment in your work area.
- All emergency equipment, fire doors and emergency exit routes are to be kept unobstructed and in good condition.
- Adhere to personal protection guidelines set forth by the company.
