Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, along with a good understanding of color correction in DaVinci Resolve. A creative mindset is essential, as the role requires crafting visually appealing videos using unique transitions, effects, and a keen sense of pacing. You should have the ability to take raw footage and transform it into polished, professional content that captivates the audience.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Footage Review: Review and understand raw footage to identify key elements and create an editing plan.
  2. Editing Process: Edit video footage to align with project objectives, including cutting, sequencing, transitions, and effects.
  3. Feedback Incorporation: Adapt video edits based on feedback to align with project goals and enhance final quality.
  4. Audio Enhancement: Enhance audio quality by adjusting levels, adding music, sound effects, and voiceovers as necessary.
  5. Visual Enhancements: Incorporate visual effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the video's visual appeal.
  6. Content Optimization: Optimize video content for different platforms, considering aspect ratios and formatting requirements.
  7. Collaborative Input: Collaborate with team members to incorporate feedback and refine the final video.
  8. Project Coordination: Coordinate with other team members to gather necessary assets and ensure video content meets project goals.
  9. Quality Assurance: Review and ensure video quality, proper audio levels, and accurate subtitles if applicable.
  10. Learning and Growth: Seek opportunities to learn new editing techniques and stay updated with industry trends.
  11. Ad Hoc Editing Tasks: Provide support for additional editing tasks and assist with video-related projects as needed.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree from a 4-year accredited college or university.
  2. Video Editing Skills: Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools, demonstrated through a portfolio of edited videos. After Effects is a plus.
  3. Edit video content for projects including but not limited to commercials, social media advertisements, branded content, promotional videos, and more.
  4. Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail to ensure precise and polished editing, including audio synchronization, transitions, and visual effects.
  5. Creative Aptitude: Ability to translate raw footage into engaging and impactful videos that convey messages effectively.
  6. Time Management: Capacity to manage multiple editing projects and meet deadlines.
  7. Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and incorporate feedback.
  8. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to different editing styles and project requirements.
  9. Knowledgeable: Has knowledge in current industry trends. Knows a variety of social media platforms and devices and knows how to engage the viewer with eye-catching content.
