Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Database Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the player database and direct mail functions: executing direct marketing programs, maintaining organized files of matrices, mail files, etc., corporate postal accounts, coordinating campaign execution with property marketing and creative agencies, reviewing and approving VDP proofs as needed, running and distributing marketing reports and pulling customer lists.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to fulfill the requirements of the position, it will be necessary to have the following:
- Campaign development, building, and populating matrices and forecasting exposure and reinvestment for all campaigns and ad hoc programming.
- Responsible for direct mail and email materials, including message development, associated offers and job sourcing of production.
- Executes all aspects of data related activities and coordinates the production of direct mail collateral and player lists.
- Oversees all database marketing projects to ensure accuracy and integrity of all offers, customer lists and segment results. Appraise and track all customer list requests.
- Maintains current operating knowledge of necessary system functions to effectively coordinate database marketing projects.
- Accurately tracks redemptions of all database marketing programs.
- Produces timely analysis reports to determine profitability of database marketing programs.
- Assists in developing database marketing strategy.
- Accountable for tracking marketing expenditures, including costs for direct mail, reconciling invoices, accruing outstanding invoices and preparing variance summaries for financial reviews.
- Produce accurate and appropriate mailing lists for all maintenance, capture, reactivation, and special events direct marketing efforts.
- Responsible for integrity of direct-mail drop calendar and mail-house management.
- Responsible for gathering and analyzing all data needed to provide direction for mail and email campaigns, coupon offers, etc.
- Interacts with property Marketing team and Player Development team to provide the most optimum information for efficient telemarketing and personal guest interaction.
- Maintains integrity of player database.
- Other related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Train and oversee all functions of Marketing Coordinators and Marketing Representatives.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2-3 years of casino database marketing experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Nevada Gaming Control Board registration required to work in Nevada.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, email deployment, campaign management systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in kiosk offer management systems (e.g. MGT, Trilogy) strongly preferred.
MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Must be able to establish strong working relationships with the heads of property marketing, external creative agencies and print vendors.
