Role Overview: We areseeking a talented and experienced Denim Technical Designer to support the development and production of our premium denim collections. This role is pivotal in overseeing technical accuracy, managing calendars, and preparing garments for production.
Denim Technical Designer Responsibilities:
• Develop and issue initial tech packs, detailing specifications such as measurements, construction, and wash instructions.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead fit sessions to ensure garments align with design intent and fit standards.
• Provide detailed feedback to vendors and oversee pattern corrections to achieve a flawless fit and construction.
• Collaborate closely with pattern makers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Review pre-production and production samples to ensure alignment with technical specifications.
• Work with vendors and factories to prepare garments for bulk production, ensuring all standards for quality and fit are met.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges that arise during the production process.
• Oversee and maintain development and production calendars, ensuring all milestones are met on time.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to prevent delays and address bottlenecks.
• Communicate regularly with factories to provide technical guidance and ensure proper execution of designs.
Denim Technical DesignerQualifications:
• 5-8 years of experience as a technical designer in the denim or apparel industry, preferably working with premium brands.
• Strong knowledge of pattern corrections, garment construction, and fit.
• Expertise in denim textiles, washes, and finishing techniques.
• Proficiency in garment grading and size specifications.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with PLM systems and production tracking tools is a plus.
• Hands-on experience working in or traveling to denim production factories.
• Comprehensive understanding of production and development workflows specific to denim.
• Passionate about denim, with a commitment to delivering premium-quality products.
