We work with wholesalers to create private label bath and body gift products. Our team is continually creating new organic and natural bath and body products and gift sets for both wholesale and retail product lines. Position Overview The Consumer Packaging Graphic Designer is responsible for developing art for retail packaging, supporting existing and new beauty products. The Consumer Packaging Graphic Designer will work closely with Product Development to meet customer expectations. This role requires an understanding of consumer package design with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must have a portfolio and resume showcasing packaging design skills. The Consumer Packaging Graphic Designer will report to the Sr. Graphic Artist. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Concepting new artwork designs based on product or program briefs and own through the design process from ideation through to production Manage workload and deadlines effectively Create detailed dielines from scratch for new packaging and see through to production addressing QA issues as needed Create 3D product digital renderings for sales presentations along with physical mockups for buyers Prepress art files for print using printer guidelines including critical reviews of color proofs, tracking project status and timelines Collaborates with production and printing vendors domestically and overseas Complete proofing, including reviewing proofs at all stages, tracking all revisions, organizing and maintaining proof files Create and maintain spreadsheets for print production tracking Photographing product samples & parts for mockup use Organize and maintain the art server Update and maintain the company website as required in collaboration with Product Development Responsible for understanding FDA requirements and including in cosmetic packaging where needed Supports Product Development on projects as needed Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 3 years of professional experience working as a graphic designer in consumer packaging design, preferably with a CPG manufacturer, from initial ideation to final production Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Microsoft Office including PowerPoint Good oral and written communication skills Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and careful attention to detail in everything you do Strong sense of ownership, accountable, proactive with a can-do attitude Passion for exceeding customer expectations Strong knowledge of printing techniques and fully understand proofing and printing process Experience working and communicating with production and printing vendors domestic / internationally, including QA Ability to be flexible and adapt to quick changes in projects, deadlines and direction while meeting deadlines and managing workload effectively Physical comping experience and 3D modeling experience a plus Curiosity and vigor to learn, grow and challenge the status quo Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 annually.
