Job Summary
The Library Technician primarily supports student academic success and well-being by managing the school's resources and connecting students to the resources they need.
Requirements / Qualifications
All applicants must complete an online application through Ed-Join at www.edjoin.org and submit by the deadline date. Required documents must be attached to the Ed-Join application (do not email, mail, or fax). If you have problems with Ed-Join, please contact the Ed-Join help desk at (888) 900-8945.
Training and Experience: Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities in order to qualify. Previous experience in Library support work is highly desirable.
Special Requirements: Some positions may require the following: Ability to obtain a First Aid Certificate.
Typing Certificate must be attached to application:
- Dated within the last five years
- 40 NET Words Per Minute
- Online typing tests are NOT accepted
- Timed test not less than three (3) minutes
See link in sidebar for a list of local agencies that offer typing tests. Current District Employees working in a classification requiring a typing certificate of 40 WPM or more do not have to submit a certificate.
A WRITTEN TEST will be administered to candidates selected to interview. Candidates who have previously passed this test are not required to take it again.
District employees must apply through Ed-Join using a password-protected, In-District Application. The password can be obtained from your site secretary or the Human Resources office at (916) 630-3310.
