The New York Post is the nation's oldest newspaper with "The Best Sports in Town" Our sports team breaks stories first, offers the most insightful analysis and commentary and tracks all the off-field news as well. The Post is collaborating with the cable network SNY to build a video team that covers the best of New York Sports. The legacy of our great headlines conveys the attributes of our videos: bold, irreverent, judgmental and clever. We seek someone who lives, eats and breathes New York sports and appreciates serious sports news as well as quirky stories.
We are currently seeking a talented Social Media Intern (24 hours per week) to join our influencer marketing and franchise growth team. The ideal candidate will have a keen knowledge and interest in social media. This is an opportunity to join an iconic media brand as it continues to experience exponential digital growth. New York Post videos have received more than a billion views in the last year.
Note: This internship is scheduled to run from February 3, 2025, to April 11, 2025 (10 weeks). Participants are expected to work approximately 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
- Work with the influencer marketing and franchise growth team to engage with our audience on the New York Post, Page Six and Virtual Reali-Tea social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and Whatsapp. Like, comment, respond, and share appropriately and in the tone of our brands.
- Identify lookalike platforms to engage with and grow brand awareness.
- Edit and package photo galleries to post on New York Post and Page Six social media accounts.
- Contribute to the creation of engaging, original content such as Memes, Reels and polls for social media platforms.
- Must have great news judgment.
- Be on top of what is trending on social media.
- Experience in content creation
- Experience in video and photo editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and Canva a plus.
- The ability to work independently.
- A passion for anything news related!
