Associate Designer Job at PRTNR Recruiting in Los Angeles

Now seeking an Associate Designer to join a collaborative, fast-paced women's collection design team, supporting the Senior Designer in creating fresh, innovative collections for mid-tier retailers nationwide. This role is ideal for a highly organized, creative professional with strong technical skills and a passion for fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contribute to the development of seasonal concepts, trend boards, and curated color stories.
• Build detailed sketches, CADs, and garment illustrations using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Source materials, trims, and fabrics that bring design visions to life; liaise with vendors for approvals.
• Develop and maintain tech packs with precise measurements, specs, and construction details.
• Work closely with patternmakers and sample makers to refine designs and ensure quality prototypes.
• Provide clear feedback on samples, tracking revisions and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Partner with production and sales teams to align designs with market needs and brand identity.
• Organize design assets, including mood boards, samples, and digital files, for easy access and reference.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-3+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably in women's fashion.
• MUST be able to work in house 5 days a week.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for detailed CAD creation.
• Understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabric properties; experience in hands-on prototyping a plus.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A sharp eye for detail, strong creativity, and a collaborative, solution-driven mindset.
