CENTRAL PRODUCTION TECHNICAL DIRECTOR - JOB PROFILE
THE ROLE
The Central Production Technical Director plays a vital role in fulfilling The Avenue Church's creative vision. This role requires proficiency in management to lead multiple projects and teams responsible for The Avenue Church's experiences in both physical and digital environments. Primarily, the Central Production Technical Director will relate closely with the Central Production Director to conceive and implement strategies that amplify the priorities and passions of The Avenue Church. This includes developing and leading the volunteers and teams responsible for creative production at weekend services, online services, and special events across the organization.
This role is also responsible for leading installs that will allow The Avenue Church to deliver engaging experiences that tell a compelling story. In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the design, graphic arts, IT, and Central Production Director to deliver content consistent with the brand, character, and culture at The Avenue Church. In addition, this role will also serve as the Ennis Production Director. The Ennis Production Director is responsible for the Weekend Production at the Campus Level, including service execution, service preparation, setup and teardown, volunteer maintenance and stability, and a liaison of support for other ministries.

OVERSIGHT
- Production installs at Broadcast and Multi-site.
- Multi-site production equipment inventory management
- Production volunteers

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide production tech support for all locations and venues. This includes being on-site on Sunday and on-call for students (Wednesday).
- Oversee production equipment repair, maintenance, and installation across all locations and all venues.
- Design new production systems alongside the Central Production Director.
- Assist and lead production staff and volunteers at all locations with equipment. Including regular technical training on existing equipment to volunteers, staff, and contractors for various areas at all locations.
- Build, lead, develop, shepherd, and provide general oversight of the Ennis production volunteers and contractors.
- Provide oversight for all production teams for weekend services ensuring all technical components of weekend services are well planned and executed. Consistent collaboration with the Worship Arts department is vital.
- Play a pivotal creative role in managing projects and timelines as a part of the Weekend Experience Team.
- Provide support for stage design, decor, and atmosphere for all of The Avenue's gathering spaces.
- Champion the creative vision for The Avenue Church across all departments.
- Serve the mission and vision of The Avenue under the leadership of the Executive Team.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role
- Proven success in managing teams
- Portfolio of previous work that displays an ability to turn an idea into a visual piece individually or through a team
- Strong communication and technical skills
- Experience with most major production hardware/software platforms, project management tools, and church management software a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of production equipment at large
