Responsibilities:
- Research, create, edit, and maintain technical documentation
- Write remove & replace, fault isolation, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures
- Manage multiple content files and effectively resolve issues
- Perform peer reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Follow defined style guide standards, as well as DoD standards
- Collaborate with other technical writers, Subject Matter Experts (SME), and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure accurate technical content
- Utilize a web-based project management and issue tracking tool
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of documentation tools, standards, and processes
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Security Clearance
- High School Diploma
- Two (2) - Four (4) years of technical writing experience; or, an advanced degree in English, technical communication, technical writing, or other related field and 2 years of experience writing user-facing technical documentation and/or instruction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
- Use of a digital asset library
- Knowledge of schematic drawings
- Develop in an Agile environment
- Knowledge of Project Management System
- Use of an XML-based authoring tools such as Oxygen
- ISO 9001:2015 knowledge/implementation
- Use of version control software
- Understanding of mark-up and browser-based presentation technologies such as DITA, XML, and HTML
- Knowledge of Build Server
- Independent, dependable, self-starter
- Ability and willingness to travel, if required
