Description

**ENTRY LEVEL POSITION**

The Temporary Visual Observer will be responsible for supporting the UAV Pilot, Pilot in Command (PIC), in routine and rapid response inspections for our energy customers and other related tasks. The Temp. VO is responsible for communicating effectively and working well in team environments while working in close proximity with the public. The Temp VO will scan skies and surrounding areas, ensuring a clear flight path and free of hazards. The Temp. VO will report to the Team Lead and Assistant Operations Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties: Scan skies and ground constantly, ensuring the area is free of hazards for the PIC Maintain visual line of sight with the UAV Assist in pre-flight procedures and have an understanding of each mission Assist in the setup and teardown at operation locations in accordance with outlined Standard Operating procedures Assist in processing collected data Verbally direct and assist UAV Operators during flights Assist with general office duties Perform related duties as assigned Position Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

Working knowledge of FAA part 107 regulations Working knowledge of DJI platforms; M210, Mavic 2 Pro, Inspire 2, M600 Demonstrated ability to operate cameras and sensors for UAV Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose minor UAV system malfunctions Demonstrated ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Protocols Attention to detail Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive company and customer information Ability to professionally interact with clients, the public, contractors, and other employees Ability to work weekends and holidays Ability to travel with minimal notice Ability to work in a team Ability to work independently and take initiative Effective oral/written communication skills Proficient using the most current software; Google Suite, Microsoft Office suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint Preferred Skills/Abilities:

10 + hours of Commercial flight Aviation background Part 61 certification or Part 107 certification Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent 0-1 year of relevant experience with commercial Drones Valid Driver's license and clean driving record Ability to pass a background and drug screen Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing in outdoor environments Working in various outdoor weather environments; extreme heat, cold, rain Able to work long periods including evenings and weekends Able to visually track a UAV unassisted (corrective lenses acceptable) Able to kneel, crouch, and walk on uneven terrain Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to maintain focus and situational awareness

Job Type/Class: Non-Exempt, Hourly, Full-Time

Required travel: 75% travel with a minimum of 72 hours' notice
