Why does the job exist?
This Marketing Coordinator is responsible for creating, developing and managing marketing materials that align with the strategy for the New Mexico Magazine (NMM) for growth including events, brand visibility, communication, promotion, digital and PR.
How does it get done?
The Marketing Coordinator compiles/distributes the New Mexico Magazine (NMM) monthly business reports and share of market reporting for NMM. Monitors/updates monthly materials/sell sheets and crafts advertising pitches based on research/strategic analysis. Creating/managing promotional activities and messaging. Identifies and develops tools, resources, and collateral to support the NMM audience and sales in order to grow our portfolio of brands focused on the State and people of New Mexico. Collaborates with NMM staff, partner and vendors to implement digital ad campaigns and manages aspects of the campaigns from concept to execution. The coordinator is also responsible for ensuring metrics are established, tracked and effective to NMM objectives and KPI's. Performs NMM market research and sales analysis, provides sales and revenue projections and creates and implements publication sales strategies. Excellent project management and organization skills for various projects from inception to conclusion. Handles various aspects of digital marketing, website development and branding across multiple platforms.

Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience developing and implementing marketing plans for trade book publishers. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field andor direct experience in this occupation totaling nine (9) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting, with extensive exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), personal computer and telephone usage. This position also requires the employee to use a copy machine, printer, fax machine and 10 key calculators. Sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping to file, and occasionally lifting a minimum of 25 pounds. Some statewide travel may be required.
