Position: Data Analyst Duration: 6 -month contract with potential extension up to 18 months Location: Charlotte, NC - Prefer local candidates (onsite presence may be required). Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a strong background in the communications industry to join our team supporting. The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience in data analytics, with expertise in interpreting complex datasets, creating insightful visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-informed decisions. Key Responsibilities Analyze, interpret, and visualize large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to the communications industry. Design and develop data models and dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, define requirements, and deliver actionable insights. Support data-driven decision-making by developing predictive and prescriptive analytics models. Cleanse, organize, and maintain data integrity to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports. Document analytics processes and methodologies, ensuring they align with industry best practices. Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure. Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, including executives. Qualifications 10 years of data analytics experience, preferably in the communications or telecommunications industry. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying large datasets. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView. Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis. Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques. Ability to interpret and present complex data to diverse stakeholders effectively. Proven experience in working with CRM, billing, or customer service data is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Preferred Skills Previous experience working with data from cable, internet, or other communications services. Understanding of telecommunications KPIs, such as churn rates, ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), or network performance metrics. Experience with ETL processes and tools. Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
