Duties, Responsibilities & Other- Potential candidates must have a minimum of two years drafting and/or design experience with aerial and underground telecommunication utilities. Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation preferred.
- Candidates must also have experience working on/with civil design specific to utility relocation, including proposing the relocation of aerial, buried, underground cable design and path creation
- Well-rounded knowledge of COAX cable, copper cable, fiber-optic cable, conduit, manhole & handhole design, and aerial is preferred
- Previous experience designing long-haul fiber design for hundreds of miles is a plus
- Potential applicant will be responsible for meeting daily/weekly deadlines due to customer commitments
- Applicant must also be able to manage the workload for internal and/or external clients with minimal assistance from Sr. Designer/s
- The ability to take direction and instructions is critical to this position
- The duties of this position will be to work directly with external clients and/or internal utility designers regarding proposed telecommunications design within the right-of-way
- Applicants must be dependable, able to schedule daily/weekly tasks, and coordinate work to be completed on projects within the time allotted by the customer(s)
- High School Diploma. AA in engineering technology or drafting required or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 - 4 years of professional experience.
- Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
