About the Role: We are seeking a socially native, culturally savvy Influencer Marketing Manager for a 6-month contract to lead and execute influencer partnerships and campaigns. This role requires 3–4 years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, or brand marketing, with a strong understanding of the Canadian market, paid media, and retail partnerships.
Key Responsibilities & Profile
Social Media & Influencer Strategy
- Work with Dove (Personal Care) and agency partners to execute social-first, data-driven influencer programs (paid & earned) to generate content, driving growth and credibility for the brand
- Coordinate the creation and scheduling of influencer content across social and digital platforms, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and KPIs.
- Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube primarily, as well as Pinterest, Snapchat,Twitch, and emerging platforms.
- Ability to speak the social language, identify trending content, with knowledge of Canadian influencers
- Assist with the management of paid boosting for influencer content.
- Research potential influencer partners and innovative content ideas enhance program effectiveness.
Cultural Awareness:
- Stay up to date with key cultural moments and trends in Canada to inform campaign strategies, providing regular updates to the team.
Brand & Retail Marketing Expertise:
- Knowledge of big brand marketing, including customer funnels, key messaging, and claims.
- Support coordination with the retail team to develop i-commerce influencer programs tailored to Canadian customers.
Strong understanding of the Canadian retail landscape, including key players:
- Mass & Big Box: Walmart, Costco, Real Canadian Superstore
- Drugstores: Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, Jean Coutu, London Drugs
- Grocery: Loblaws, Metro, Sobeys, Longo’s
- E-commerce: Amazon Canada, Well.ca
Campaign Execution & Performance Tracking:
- Develop and execute influencer campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand and retail objectives, while maintaining timelines and key milestones to deliver impactful campaigns.
- Help maintain and update an always-on content calendar, ensuring timely and relevant posts.
- Track and measure campaign success against KPIs and benchmarks.
Collaboration & Initiative:
- Support cross-functional teams to align influencer initiatives with marketing goals.
- Be proactive, take initiative, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
On-Site Presence & Language Skills:
- Toronto-based with the ability to attend in-office and retailer meetings as needed.
- French language skills are a strong asset.
- 3–4 years of experience in influencer marketing, social media, or brand marketing.
- Experience managing agencies
- Strategic, analytical, and creative in influencer marketing.
