We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced printed circuit boards (PCBs) for cutting-edge aerospace systems. This role involves working in a collaborative environment with engineers and designers to create innovative solutions for prototype and production systems. You’ll work on schematic drawings, PCB layouts, and design documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards using PADS software.
Responsibilities Design and develop complex PCBs for prototype and production systems in collaboration with engineering teams. Create schematic drawings and perform PCB layouts using PADS Power PCB and Logic software. Validate designs to meet ANSI, IPC, and internal company standards, ensuring dimensional and material accuracy. Manage design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and fabrication/assembly drawings, and maintain proper archives. Interface with PCB vendors to coordinate manufacturing and production. Identify and resolve design issues, suggesting improvements to enhance design efficiency. Stay updated on advancements in CAD techniques, IPC standards, and design software.
Qualifications Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology, CAD Design, or a recognized certification. 3–7 years of PCB design experience using PADS Power PCB and Logic. Proficiency in PCB design concepts, including ANSI Y4.15 and IPC standards. Experience with schematic capture and PCB design for RF, digital, analog, and mixed-signal boards. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team. Preferred: Experience designing high-speed, multi-layer PCBs. Familiarity with additional tools like OrCAD and Creo. Knowledge of prototype and production workflows.
