Overview

The Media Planner will play a critical role in developing and executing effective media strategies and campaigns. As part of the responsibilities, will analyze client objectives, identify the best media channels to meet those goals, negotiate media buys, and ensure optimal performance and ROI. This is a hybrid role that requires strategic planning skills and hands-on expertise in media buying.

The Day-to-Day

Media Planning:

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define campaign objectives and target audiences.
  • Develop comprehensive media plans that align with client goals and budgets.
  • Research and analyze media consumption trends and market data to inform strategy.
  • Identify the most effective media channels, including digital, social, print, TV, radio, OOH among others.
  • Create and present media strategies, plans, and proposals to clients.

Media Buying:

  • Negotiate and purchase advertising space and time across various platforms.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with media vendors and platforms to secure favorable rates and added value opportunities.
  • Monitor ad placements to ensure compliance with contracts and creative specifications.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, media vendor dashboards, and proprietary platforms.
  • Optimize campaigns based on data insights to improve effectiveness and ROI.
  • Prepare detailed performance reports and deliver actionable insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

Budget Management:

  • Manage campaign budgets and allocate spending across channels to maximize impact.
  • Provide regular budget updates to clients and internal teams.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with strategy, creative and account teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging media technologies, and competitive landscape.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in media planning (traditional and digital channels) and/or buying, preferably in an agency setting.
  • Proficiency in media planning tools (e.g., Comscore, Nielsen, Gaither, Google Ads, META Ads Planner and analytics platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of securing cost-effective media buys.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a passion for the advertising industry.
  • Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
