Role Summary:
The Senior Product Designer is responsible for designing innovative, user-centered experiences that align with Givebacks Inc.’s mission of empowering communities through technology. This role is a blend of strategic thinking, user research, and hands-on design execution. As a key partner to the product and engineering teams, the Senior Product Designer will play a critical role in shaping the company’s product offerings, creating delightful user experiences, and building scalable design systems.
What You’ll Do:
User-Centered Design:
● Lead the end-to-end design process for new features and products, from discovery to delivery.
● Conduct user research to uncover insights and translate them into actionable design solutions.
● Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to effectively communicate ideas.
Design Strategy & Execution:
● Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to align on goals and deliver impactful solutions.
● Advocate for the user at every stage of the product development lifecycle, ensuring that all designs meet user needs and business objectives.
● Leverage data, user feedback, and usability testing to iterate on designs and continuously improve the user experience.
Design Systems & Standards:
● Maintain and expand the company’s design system to ensure consistency across products.
● Develop scalable processes and best practices for design workflows.
Collaboration & Communication:
● Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while staying true to design principles.
● Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
● Act as a champion for design, driving its value across the organization.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, we believe this candidate must embody the following characteristics:
● Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
● 5+ years of experience UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating impactful design solutions.
● Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or equivalent.
● Experience designing for web and mobile platforms, with a strong understanding of responsive and accessible design principles.
● Strong visual design skills, including typography, layout, and color theory.
● Proven ability to lead user research and usability testing.
● Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex ideas to a diverse audience.
● Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy and precision in all work products.
