The Position:
Headfirst Companies is looking for a creative and driven Senior Associate, Marketing to join our team at our Washington, D.C. headquarters. As an integral member of our Marketing department, you'll help shape and execute innovative strategies across our three camp divisions: Headfirst Summer Camps, Headfirst Professional Summer Camps, and Headfirst Showcase Camps.
In this role, you'll take the lead on crafting marketing plans, optimizing processes, managing creative content development, and driving digital outreach. You will also play a key role in architecting, enhancing, and amplifying the Headfirst customer experience. From managing customer communications and databases to spearheading both inbound and outbound campaigns and coordinating exciting events, your contributions will be essential to our mission of creating unforgettable experiences for all our Headfirst athletes, campers, and camp families.

What You'll Do:
- Marketing Planning
- In partnership with marketing leadership, participate in the development of divisional enrollment goals , divisional revenue targets, and strategic partnership plans
- Track marketing metrics such as:
- Enrollment data by audience cohorts, including acquisition and retention
- Digital engagement across all channels (web, email, social)
- Assist with building attribution reports to assess marketing channel values
- Suggested improvement areas in process, procedures and policies
- Database Management
- Support the daily enrollment process for all camp divisions, providing clear, timely, and accurate customer reporting, enrollment tracking, and dashboard updates.
- Leverage data and analytics tools to manage a large database of current and potential customers, enabling personalized customer experiences and targeted marketing communications. Utilize actionable insights from this data to support and drive growth initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Headfirst camps divisions' customer bases by analyzing data, monitoring trends, and gathering insights to inform marketing strategies and drive customer engagement.
- Own the queue and customer data across all three divisions.
- Marketing Execution
- Working closely with the Director of Marketing, execute digital marketing plans that deliver on net-new and returning customer goals across all divisions - including customer segmentation insights matched with outreach strategies that drive retention and behavior.
- Contribute to upleveling of brand representation and creative execution across marketing touchpoints.
- Serve as a key contributor towards the buildout, implementation, and maintenance of scalable frameworks to improve processes and outcomes.
- Hire, onboard, and manage a team of 5-7 seasonal on-site interns responsible for marketing asset collection and distribution, including blogging, photos, videos, and customer insights/reviews.
- Act as the Marketing lead to support the execution of customer events that Headfirst hosts before and during the programming season, including School Activation Events, Family Events, Welcome Events, and Spring Site Tours.
- Customer Experience
- Work hand-in-hand with operations team to assist with inbound customer communication.
- Effectively partner cross functionally with team members across each program division to resolve customer questions and deliver best-in-class customer service.
- Assist in the development and rollout of thoughtful, engaging, and clear camp preparedness communication to enrolled families.
- In partnership with program operations team, recruit, select, and train any in-office seasonal interns within the camps divisions. Take the lead in establishing processes and procedures, provide real-time feedback and guidance, and serve as overall quality control for intern responsibilities related to marketing and customer experience.
About You:
The Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, with focus in business, marketing, and/or sales preferred.
- 2-4 years of post-college professional experience in marketing, communications, customer experience (B2C), or account management. Experience in project management, business development, or customer service required.
- Proficiency in using marketing automation tools - preferably HubSpot - to execute and optimize complex email marketing outreach and campaign strategies.
- Proficiency in paid social, SEM, and SEO strategies to engage target audiences in awareness building and conversion campaigns
- Familiarity with online project management tools (we use Asana and Trello), as well as digital design tools (we use Canva primarily), and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent editorial marketing skills; ability to develop personalized and segmented omnichannel communication for target audiences.
- Excellent verbal and communications skills; ability to engage and communicate with in-season staff and customers who are deeply invested in our product offerings.
- Demonstrated experience managing, implementing, and executing challenging operational details.
