Background:

Alera is the creator of Zensa Topical Anaesthetic, one of the fastest-growing pharmaceutical skincare products in the tattoo, microblading and aesthetician markets (@zensaskin on IG + TikTok). We are seeking an experienced Social Media Content Strategist (Contractor Position) based in Los Angeles, CA to join our expanding team. Having experienced tremendous growth over the past few years, Alera is looking for this role to assist in further developing our sophisticated brand within the wellness space.

Description:

As the Social Media Content Strategist (Contractor Position), you will work collaboratively with Alera’s marketing team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Marketing. In this dynamic role, you will be the creative driving force behind bringing Alera's brand, Zensa Skin Care, to life across various digital platforms. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the brand voice, visual identity and online presence, implementing innovative strategies that elevate our social channels and challenge creative boundaries. You will craft compelling and unique content tailored to each platform. By leveraging your expertise in social trends, a keen aesthetic sensibility and a passion for data-driven results, you will enhance brand awareness, cultivate a thriving community, support the sales funnel and position Zensa as a creative leader in the skincare industry.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute content strategy and campaigns for Zensa’s Instagram, Facebook and TikTok accounts Capture and edit curated content for use across all social channels, ensuring alignment with brand voice and aesthetic Develop and manage strategy, campaigns and ongoing monthly content calendars that incorporate growth, engagement and ROI as success measurements Source, evaluate and provide feedback on brand ambassador and influencer relationship strategies to build an engaged, results-driven network Manage all brand aesthetics, content, voice and persona across all social channels Write on-brand content and engaging copy across all channels Research and proactively recommend creative and innovative ideas and content Advise in the monetization of social content, including branded content and platform revenue Collaborate on or manage paid social media campaigns, including ad creation, targeting and performance optimization to drive ROI. Set metrics and manage monthly reporting, analytics and recommendations across all channels

Requirements:

BA/BS or equivalent degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or English Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience Photography and videography skills (which can be executed via iPhone) Excellent working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok A portfolio of previous work or projects demonstrating your creative thinking, content strategy and visual design skills Experience with paid social media practices, including campaign setup, ad targeting and performance tracking. Proven track record of community building, campaign strategy and execution and audience development Strong understanding of analytics using both third-party data and native platform data Outstanding writing skills and ability to use unique brand voices across many properties Familiarity or experience with paid social media practices and programmatic marketing Sharp eye for aesthetics and creative execution Experience with Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere) and/or Canva Experience with Later Experience in the beauty/medspa industry a plus
