Shift:
Nights, 7p-7a, 12x3, 36 hrs per week, EOW
Length:
13 weeks
Requirements: AK License 2 Years Experience BLS PALS NRP Previous Charge Experience preferred Electronic Documentation preferred Teaching Hospital Experience preferred Trauma Level II Experience preferred Charting: Cerner
First-timers accepted
Float within NICU and Peds to meet facility needs
100 miles radius rule
No Locals accepted
Scrub Color: Navy; (L&D/OR: provided)
Ratios: The pediatric floor ratios are 1:4. PICU 1:2
Other Details:
Travelers may checking nurses off who need to be PICU trained. They would have PICU assignments but with an orientee. This would not be their primary assignment but it may occur.
Ratios: The pediatric floor ratios are 1:4. PICU 1:2. Ventilated patients are usually 1:1 due to the geography of the unit and the difficulty of doubling up ventilated patients. We do not have a pod structure. We have CNAs and a med clerk as our support staff. Our charge nurse typically has no patients.

Guaranteed Hours: Yes, up to 36 hours. All OR nurses and OR Techs on 12-hour shifts are scheduled for an additional 4 hours to help cover breaks and lunches. 12 hour OR nurses and OR Techs will be guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Special Requirements: Must be culturally sensitive to Native Population
