SUMMARY
With limited supervision, the Senior Digital Editor drives strategy and executes on the delivery of all assigned international, state, and district-level custom program components and project tasks over the entire program lifecycle (initiate, plan, build, execute, control, release). The Senior Digital Editor is accountable to deliver high quality, competitive print and/or digital programs on time and within budget. The Senior Digital Editor leads all phases of a project with primary emphasis on defining the custom strategy and providing vendor oversight for the development of print and digital products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive customization strategy (district to international) ensuring all pedagogical, curricula, and technical requirements are considered for print and multimedia platform deliveries.
Create product specifications and provide key inputs for project budgets including description of services and bid form preparation.
Contribute to sourcing plans, development workflow, and schedules to ensure product delivery is on-time, within budget, and meets all market requirements.
Lead implementation of customization strategy by creating prototype manuscript, producing print and digital authoring guidelines, and communicating project requirements across internal teams and vendor partners.
Direct and approve content plans, vendor deliverables, and course structure and authoring documents to ensure project and company guidelines are met.
Support the Curriculum Alignment Analyst for social studies as needed.
Monitor product quality, schedules, and budgets throughout the development process.
Escalate project risks and propose solutions.
Request clarification from supervisor when needed.
Support team members and communicate concerns and possible solutions to supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of leading development projects and teams is essential.
Minimum of 5 years of experience developing social studies content.
Have knowledge of K-12 social studies content and pedagogy.
Have experience developing student-facing content that incorporates state-specific standards and assessments.
Have experience developing digital products.
Be a self-directed team player who completes assigned tasks on time.
Be a strong project manager and creative problem solver who works well under pressure.
Use interpersonal communication skills to foster positive teamwork.
