The Head of Marketing, Brand, & Creative will be responsible for leading all marketing activities for Hearts of Pine. This position will offer a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help launch Maine's first-ever professional soccer club and to bring a compelling marketing vision to life.Reports to: Club PresidentLevel: VP or Senior Director, depending on experienceBase Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000, plus bonus potentialRelocation assistance: NegotiableResponsibilities:Lead all marketing team members and freelancers, across Brand & Creative, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Experiential Marketing, and Media Relations / PR Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to achieve club goalsPlan and oversee marketing campaigns in an effort to drive sales and increase brand affinityCollaboratively support community initiatives and player appearances Provide brand vision for game presentation elements (e.g. music, programming, talent, signage) and work closely with operations staff to ensure all consumer facing marketing and brand elements are presented appropriatelyCollaborate with the sales team to create campaigns focused on customer acquisition and retention, across season tickets, premium tickets, group tickets, and other productsCollaborate with the partnerships team to ensure that the club is meeting partnership obligations, while also identifying ways to create win-win initiatives for the club and its partners Collaborate with senior management to ensure all creative assets properly reflect the brand and are consistent with marketing and sales objectivesWork with all other departments to ensure cross-platform executionMaintain a thorough knowledge of the competitive landscape and the brand's competing strengths, weaknesses and market positionDevelop and motivate team membersWork nights/weekends as necessary, especially on the dates of the club's 18 home gamesPerform other related duties as assignedRequired Experience & KnowledgeAbility to lead within a fast-paced environment and deliver on multiple projects in parallel, while meeting deadlines and staying within budgetDemonstrated ability to lead a teamExperience coordinating marketing freelancers and media agenciesAbility to organize and oversee multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyExtensive understanding of creative production processesExtensive experience developing digital and social creative solutions, with "big picture" brand-building always top of mindStrong problem solving, decision making and analytical skillsDemonstrated understanding of how marketing, creative and media work seamlessly to help brands succeedStrong interpersonal and communication skillsIndependent, self-motivated and creativeProficient in a wide range of marketing and design softwareExperience with marketing in a live sports/entertainment context, with a passion for soccer preferredExperience:At least 8 years of work experience in marketing rolesAt least 4 years of experience within sports, entertainment, and/or startup environmentsAt least 4 years of experience delivering creative assets in accordance with marketing plansAt least 4 years of direct supervisory experience We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Do you currently live within a 1 hour drive of Portland, Maine?What are your connections, if any, to Maine?Do you have prior experience at a professional sports team?Do you have a link to an online portfolio for us to see examples of your work?
