The Marketing Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating and developing promotional and PR opportunities, media communications and press releases, sales collateral, and support materials for EWI. Additionally, the Marketing Communications Specialist will execute external and internal corporate communications on behalf of different departments, provide Customer Relations Manager with marketing support related to events, and develop written marketing content, support light paper editing and development. The Marketing Communications Specialist is part of a multi-organizational team dedicated to promoting our technical experts and evolving technologies to support sales generation.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Promotion and Public Relations: Develop and create marketing campaigns and content to promote EWI's activities to the industry and publicIncludes writing press releases, blogs, website content, and other promotional vehiclesEstablishing relationships with media and other external sources of company promotionBringing new PR opportunities to EWI executive and management teamsLead Gen Tools: Develop and provide materials for sales development team and engineering teamsIncludes writing and graphic layout of sales literature sheet, letters, notices, editing technical light papers, supplying display and sales materials for conferences and trade showsWorking with outside vendors to secure and coordinate services and materials in support of sales activities; coordinate storage and retrieval of sales and show materialsCorporate Communication/Support: Write and edit statements, letters, and communiques on behalf of the executive/management teams, HR, and engineering groups on an as-needed basisEvents Support: Provide CRM with requested support for events by participating in planning meetings, creating/sending invitations and registrant communication, assisting on-site during event with registration and reception if needed, facilitating presentation distribution and follow-up communicationMinimum RequirementsKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:Proficient in marketing principles and conceptsAdept at articulating a creative vision, concepts, and goals to writers, designers, photographers, printers, etc.Self-drive to accomplish tasks on-time and with high-quality Energized and motivated by a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, service-minded, mission-based organizationExcellent problem-solving ability and approach toward challengesOutstanding attention to detailProven adaptability and flexibility as a part of teamExhibits sound judgment in decision making and executionAbility to maintain excellent customer relationships both internal and externalProven success in a team-oriented environmentStrong ability to plan and organize tasksExcellent written and verbal communication, including technical writing and presentation developmentProficient in MS Office with emphasis on Outlook, Word, and ExcelEDUCATION:Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, and/or journalism is preferredLesser degree with equivalent experience will be consideredEXPERIENCE:Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience in marketing, advertising, and/or salesThree (3) years' experience in role developing creative content and campaigns to promote companyEOE/M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran StatusAccommodationsIndividuals who need reasonable accommodations under the ADA in order to participate in the search and/or application process should contact Human Resources at (614) 688-5000.
