This role requires a results-oriented individual with expertise in direct mail, email marketing, SMS campaigns, and personalized outreach strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to create impactful donor experiences, manage end-to-end campaign workflows, and analyze performance metrics for continuous improvement.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Plan and Execute Direct Marketing Campaigns: Develop and implement direct mail, email marketing, and SMS strategies to engage existing and potential donors.Work with the creative team to design impactful materials for campaigns, appeals, and donor retention programs.Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely production and distribution of direct mail and SMS content.Create and segment donor lists to target specific demographics effectively.Ensure campaigns align with broader organizational goals and fundraising strategies. Analyze Campaign Performance: Track, analyze, and report on direct marketing KPIs, including response rates, ROI, and donor retention.Conduct A/B testing for campaign elements like messaging, design, and timing.Leverage insights from data analysis to refine and optimize future campaigns.Collaborate with the data team to ensure accurate donor segmentation and reporting.Identify and address underperforming campaigns promptly with actionable solutions. Donor Relationship Management: Personalize outreach efforts to enhance donor experience and build long-term relationships.Develop strategies to reactivate lapsed donors through direct marketing initiatives.Maintain donor communication records to ensure consistency and continuity.Actively gather donor feedback to improve future campaigns.Support the CRM team in optimizing donor segmentation and data accuracy. Collaborate Across Teams: Provide input to digital marketing efforts to integrate direct, SMS, and online strategies.Work closely with vendors and consultants to manage printing, mailing, and SMS distribution processes.Contribute creative ideas for new direct marketing campaigns and donor engagement tactics.Assist in the development of training materials and resources for internal teams. Innovate and Optimize Processes: Stay informed about trends and innovations in direct marketing and fundraising.Propose and implement new tools, technologies, or methodologies to enhance campaign performance.Streamline direct marketing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.Continuously explore innovative approaches to donor engagement and retention.Develop and test new formats, themes, and techniques for direct marketing materials. WHAT YOU WILL NEED EDUCATION/EXPERTISE: Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in direct marketing, with a focus on fundraising or nonprofit campaigns preferred.Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), email marketing tools, SMS platforms, and MS Office Suite. JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC: Technical Skills: Proficiency in direct marketing software and tools, such as CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), email marketing platforms, and SMS tools.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.Expertise in donor segmentation and personalization techniques.Skilled in direct mail production processes, including print and design coordination.Knowledge of compliance and data privacy regulations related to donor communications. Leadership and Personal Skills: Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling messages.Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with external vendors.Creative thinker with a passion for donor engagement and fundraising innovation.A proactive, adaptable, and problem-solving attitude. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Visual acuity to use a keyboard and view a computer terminal. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp. May require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand and walk. Ability to occasionally lift, carry and/or move light to medium weight up to twelve (12) pounds and/or exert up to twelve (12) pounds of force.
