Graphic Designer II Job at Robert Half in Olathe

We are looking to add a Graphic Designer II to our team, located in Olathe, Kansas. The chosen candidate will be tasked with developing designs and advertising materials for a global customer segment. This role involves direct communication with factory marketing teams and suppliers, and requires skills in design, marketing, and media handling. The position offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Primary Purpose:

• Independently designs and creates advertising materials of moderate complexity tailored for a global audience.
• Acts as the main point of contact with factory marketing teams to lead and guide communication initiatives for the assigned segment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develops and designs company publications, including layouts, mock-ups, and final deliverables.
• Manages, advises, and oversees graphic suppliers, such as pre-media printers, illustrators, and contracted agencies.
• Remains informed about current design and production trends, identifying the most efficient, timely, and cost-effective strategies for projects.
• Ensures all work adheres to company standards and guidelines.
• Revises and adjusts designs as needed to meet quality expectations.
• Plans, coordinates, and oversees photography sessions.

• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients

• Experience in marketing and understanding of market trends

• Proficient in handling materials for design projects

• Ability to plan and execute design processes efficiently

• Exceptional design skills with a keen eye for detail

• Experience in supervising a team of designers or similar role

• Understanding of production processes in design

• Ability to liaise with suppliers for design materials

• Knowledge of various media formats for design

• Proficiency in photography for design projects

• Experience in creating compelling advertisements

• Familiarity with R code in design

• Willingness to work onsite when required

• Proficiency in designing templates for various purposes

• Experience in designing publications

• Understanding of printer hardware for design production

• Knowledge of multimedia design

• Ability to create mockups for design projects

• Adherence to brand standards in all design projects.
