Requisition Summary
The Service Content Publications Manager will exhibit essential behaviors valued in this role including continuous improvement and learning, effectiveness at building networks of partners and stakeholders, and ability to collaborate and reach consensus across boundaries.
Responsibilities Include
- Leading your internal direct reports and multiple contractors to deliver quality service content to support Aftersales and dealer service personnel.
- Managing the complete service content lifecycle.
- Managing capital budget and reconciliation within multiple program budgets and contractor POs.
- Leading service content sizing effort forecasting and reconciliation.
- Managing Technical Publications reporting for PCP tollgate and program reviews.
- Reviewing and approving authoring assignments for your team.
- Establishing and managing contractor relationships to drive quality/timely deliverables.
- Actively assisting with removing obstacles for your team while raising awareness on risks and escalating to leadership appropriately.
- Presenting to Executive Leadership up to General Manager level.
- Partnering cross-divisionally with Kenworth and PACCAR Powertrain to meet publications requirements for programs and compliance.
- Up to 10% travel can be expected.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in technical publications, business, engineering, or a related subject.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the trucking or automotive industry with emphasis on publications management or program management.
- Proven power of influence to drive high quality deliverables across teams.
- Ability to manage internal timelines based on project implementation dates.
- Ability to manage project budgets.
- Strong organizational, time management, and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate translating, printing, and distribution of documents.
- Ability to track printed document stock levels optimizing between pricing and forecasted needs.
- Proven expertise leading authors (internal and contract) in planning, assigning, and developing content for Operator and Service documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity and/or experience with the PACCAR Capital Budget Lifecycle.
- Knowledge and experience in technical writing and/or publications systems such as CLS/CMS.
- Experience using Smartsheet for tracking and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement and learning to support the evolution of the department.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
