Position Information

The Library is seeking to fill two positions. One position is based on Perimeter College's Dunwoody campus. The Dunwoody Campus sits on 100 acres in a residential area of north DeKalb County, where the college has developed a strong reputation as a community partner and institution for higher learning. About 10 miles north of Atlanta, the campus boasts a culturally diverse student body and vibrant student life activities, including the annual, well-attended international festival.

The other position is based on Perimeter College's Newton campus which opened in 2007. The campus sits on a 100-acre property generously donated from the Arnold Fund about 40 miles east of Georgia State's Atlanta campus.

About the Department
Position Description	The University Library is hiring forward-thinking and collegial Learning & Engagement Librarians for the Dunwoody Campus and Newton campuses.. Responsibilities You should be eager to partner with faculty in their teaching and research and engage with students in their first and second years, primarily in developing the information literacy and research skills that support the University's College to Career Competencies Initiative, such as critical thinking, written/oral communication, digital technology, and global/intracultural fluency. * Participate in developing innovative instruction techniques, tools, and assessments * Participate in student and faculty outreach activities throughout the university * Provide reference service in-person and online * Create and maintain multimedia web-based information literacy and instructional materials * Engage and support the faculty, staff, and students' research, teaching, and learning needs The librarians serve as a member of the library faculty (12-month; non- tenure track), holds faculty rank, and is expected to participate in service activities as outlined in the University Library's faculty guidelines. The library is committed to providing exceptional professional development opportunities for its employees.
