$35,000 to $45,000/annual
Job Description:
The Board of Trustees of The Yates Community Library seeks a welcoming, organized listener who is energetic, has experience working with technology, and has a small-community oriented spirit.
A successful candidate will have the enthusiasm and motivation to assess and provide for the community’s evolving needs.
Lyndonville and the Town of Yates
Located equidistant from Niagara Falls and Rochester, the community lies in the heart of an abundant agricultural region, enjoying weather tempered by neighboring Lake Ontario. The library was a dream brought to reality by a group of dedicated residents in 1949 with a community-wide endeavor to construct a permanent building in 1970.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree with related experience is preferred.
Compensation
Full time [min. 30hr/wk]. Starting salary range is $35,000 to $45,000 commensurate with education and experience.
Essential Duties Include but Are Not Limited to:
- Staffing: schedule and supervise library personnel
- Collection Development
- Patron Assistance: collect input from patrons as to their needs
- Budgeting: assist Board in planning and implementing the annual budget
- Programming: develop, arrange for, and supervise programs meeting the community’s needs for all age groups
- Technology and Facilities Management
- Library Advocacy: advocate for the library and actively participate in local community groups and the Lyndonville Central School
- Record Keeping and Reporting to the Trustees and the State
- Seek Funding from various sources
- Other duties as needed

- A familiarity with current technology and a willingness to learn emerging technologies
