Position Summary
The University of Georgia (UGA) Libraries seeks an innovative, service-oriented individual for the position of Digital Library of Georgia (DLG) Program Lead. The successful candidate will manage DLG projects, outreach, and the network of stakeholders and contributors. This faculty Librarian position reports to the Director of Discovery and Digital Services; participates in professional activities; and serves on library, university, and statewide committees.
Minimum Qualifications
An ALA-accredited Master’s in Library and Information Science or relevant advanced degree.
Additional Requirements
- 2 or more years work experience in an academic or research library.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serves as the primary point of contact for DLG stakeholders and contributors;
- Builds and maintains relationships within the state archival and cultural heritage communities;
- Initiates and manages DLG projects including the annual sub-granting program;
- Assists the Director of Discovery and Digital Services in strategic planning;
- Facilitates collaboration between organizations within the state;
- Represents the Libraries and GALILEO by participating in associations and professional meetings.
