Description

GENERAL JOB STATEMENT: Responsible for video support of assigned show including, but not limited to, programming of the video components for a show, minimal content creation for video/projections designers, system layout consultation and troubleshooting.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Program in timeline or cue-based software alongside the video/projections designer.
2. Ensure timely completion of the programming of the show to ensure plenty of time for edits and changes.
3. Assist in any consultation regarding system layout and on-site troubleshooting of that system.
4. Minimal creation of content as assigned by the video/projections designer or the production manager.
5. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
6. Maintenance of deadlines.
7. Any additional tasks as requested by the PM.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Theatre or related field / equivalent experience is preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical theatre is preferred.
3. Familiarity with Windows and Mac-based operating systems.
4. Familiarity with Dropbox.
5. Ability to work with basic image and video creation software.
6. Watchout and QLab proficiency.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong organizational skills.
