Description
The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for executing comprehensive brand strategies to enhance the credit union’s market presence and drive brand growth. This role involves coordinating all aspects of brand management, brand positioning, and the creation of marketing campaigns that resonate with target audiences across the Meritrust footprint. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Social Media Execution: Assist with development of social media strategies to achieve marketing targets.
- Content Creation: Implement social media strategies by managing, creating, and publishing high-quality content across various social media platforms.
- Account Management: Administer all company social media accounts ensuring alignment with marketing strategies and brand consistency.
- Collaboration: Work with writers, designers, and marketing teams to create engaging content.
- Community Engagement: Facilitate client-company communication, respond to queries, organize chats and QA Sessions.
- Copywriting: Collaborate with the marketing team to write emails, web copy, audio announcements, chat bot scripts, and external communications, including social media posts.
- SEO Alignment and SEO Strategy: Work with marketing team to ensure content and campaigns are optimized for search engines to improve visibility and organic traffic. Includes conducting keyword research, implementing on-page and off-page SEO techniques and continuously monitoring and analyzing website performance. Align SEO efforts with overall marketing goals to enhance the brand’s online presence, attract more qualified leads and drive conversions.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Social Media Strategist or similar role
- Hands-on experience using social media for brand awareness
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
- Ability to identify target audience preferences and build content to meet them
- Familiarity with web design and publishing
- Superior writing, editing and interpersonal communication skills are required
Experience Required:
- Proven experience (1+ years) in a social media coordinator role, with a successful track record of developing and implementing social media campaigns/strategies
